Like Master, Like Servant

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6

Like Master, Like Servant
God takes the bright light that shines in the face of Jesus Christ, and makes it shine in our hearts. He is the perfect answer and character of everything delightful to God. We are in Him, and His character is to flow through us. He has brought us into the light and holiness of the Father's house; and because of having fellowship with Him, we can turn around and cast every thought and sorrow on Him.

Do all around you perceive, in your ways, such a reflection of Christ's life that they could not understand you without knowing Christ? Christ's heart was always in heaven while He was on earth, and everything came forth to Him in all the savor of the Father's love. He was of one heart and one mind with the Father. I want to be like Christ; I want the world to say, "Like Master, like servant." The present object of the Lord Jesus is to have a people down here who display Him in their ways, thoughts, and doings: speaking out intelligently and practically what He is.

No one on earth was ever so happy as Christ, because He saw everything in connection with God's purpose and God's will. The greater the sorrow, and the higher its wave broke over His heart, the more we can see this. There was always some expression of praise, some reference to the Father, showing that the joy within was as untouched as a hidden spring of water that gives refreshment. He was distressed until He accomplished the Father's will in His death upon the cross.

G. V. Wigram
Like Thee in faith, in meekness, love, in every beauteous grace; From glory into glory changed, till we behold Thy face.

UNCOVERING EVIL

The presence of the supernatural power of God in a church can take that church beyond limits.
It can also uproot the presence of evil in the midst of Gods children. In Acts 5, a couple were uprooted through this. If we are going to sanitise the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Just as we need Him to heal, save...More

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; ...More

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)

In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, but has manifested in its own due season His word.
