Every Believer Has a Gift

See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.
Exodus 31:2-3

Every Believer Has a Gift
God announced whom He Himself had called to do the work in building the tabernacle. These were men who could be depended on to follow God's instructions without wavering. No one was allowed to take this honor on himself, but he must receive it directly from God. How important it is that God's work should be done by God's workmen. All human credentials are nothing in the work of God. Only God's credentials count.

This is true too in the building of the Church of God. Paul was a wise master builder who laid the foundation of that building fully according to God's instructions (1 Cor. 3:10-11). The foundation is Christ, and Paul has laid down the full truth concerning Christ in all His relationships in the Word of God, which lives and abides forever. The truth is complete in the Word of God, and we must take it as it stands, not daring to add to it or take away from it.

Bezalel was the chief artisan, whom God had filled with His Spirit, giving him wisdom in all manner of work he was to do. This was not merely a man who could be called "a jack of all trades," but rather a master of all trades. Such an unusual man could only be the result of God's special working, as was certainly true also of Paul the apostle. God also appointed, along with Bezalel, another able man, Aholiab (v. 6), and He worked in the hearts of others in Israel, unnamed, giving skill for all the various aspects of the work. How good to know today that, not only to prominent men, but to every believer grace is given from God. The smallest gift is valuable in its place and is to be used for God in the blessing of others for the building up of the Church of God.

FASTING IS NECESSARY

To relate with the Holy Spirit, you must be holy. You must also exercise a living faith, pray and fast. Some people will tell you that because had finished the work of salvation, there is no need to fast. To them, fasting is completely needless and is some form of self-inflicted punishment. But they forget that...More

ATTENTIVE TO THE MASTER'S INSTRUCTIONS?

It is always good to pay close attention to instructions given by someone you claim to be your guide or guardian. Often, we miss many opportunities, breakthroughs and victories because we fail to see the details of the instructions given to us on a subject. A multinational company once held a promotional exam for...More
