Have you ever infringed the law?

There is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Romans 3: 22 - 24.

Have you ever infringed the law?
I have! I had exceeded the speed limit by 5 m.p.h.. All the time the police officer was taking down the evidence I was saying to myself that he would do better to prosecute real speedsters or crooks. The fact was, however, that I had broken the law and had nothing to say in my defence.

Sometimes we regard sin similarly: we classify it into various categories. There are truly evil sinners who violate God's law openly, and there are those like myself. I admit that from time to time I do wrong, but I am not like them.

How does God see the matter? He is appalled by all sin. And we all, without exception, have disregarded His will. Today's verse is absolutely clear: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

What can we do? Simply put our trust in Jesus Christ, who has paid for our transgressions in our stead. He has promised that if we entrust our entire being to Him, He will forgive us and grant us new life.

How can we avail ourselves of that? By abandoning the idea of doing whatever is needed to merit His grace and humbly kneeling before Jesus' feet to repent. If we confess that we are sinners and have committed countless sins, we put aside our egotism, our pride and say, "Lord Jesus, forgive me. Make me a new person. Deliver me from death, and grant me eternal life." He will do so.

Today‘s reading: Numbers 4: 1 - 20 · Matthew 4: 1 - 11

THE HOLY SPIRIT

It is one thing to receive the anointing and another to keep growing on it. There are people who had the anointing, but today, everything has virtually ebbed out. It is possible to connect with the Holy Spirit and to continue to flow in the power of the anointing even at increasing levels. If this is your desire,...More

LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE

Read:
.
The essence of the anointing of God in your life is not for show but for service. Service is a fundamental aspect of leadership. The moment you remove service from your life, there is no room for good leadership. People should see the good example you are showing and praise God for your life....More

Apollo 15

You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain. You are the same, and your years will not fail.
