What will you do in the end?
This verse can be found in a long list of indictments that God made against Jerusalem recorded by the prophet Jeremiah 2,600 years ago. The inhabitants of the city had rebelled against the Lord and refused to heed His warnings for a long time. So the hour of judgment had come.

A distant nation would invade the city and deport the population (cf. . That Man is Jesus Christ. However, He does not wish to be our judge. On the contrary, he wishes to protect us from judgment. He has Himself suffered God's judgment so that His wrath might not fall on us. It is up to us to confess our wrongs, believe in Him and accept His grace. If you refuse to do so, what will you do in the end?
