How can we be righteous before God?

How can a man be righteous before God?

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Job 9: 2; Romans 3: 23; 5: 1.

How can we be righteous before God?
Job was overwhelmed with trouble: he had lost his wealth, his children, and now he was tormented by a skin disease. Moreover, his friends harangued him interminably with their insults that he was suffering for bad conduct. Now his behaviour was in fact exemplary.

When I suffer, when my future is hindered, when I am forced to look death in the face, then a host of questions invade me. Of course, I think of the suffering, but wonder even more about the cause of it. Job learned that those trials were destined to acquaint him with God's compassion (cf. James 5: 11). One of his friends said, "If you would earnestly seek God and make your supplication to the Almighty, if you were pure and upright, surely now he would awake for you. God will not cast away the blameless" (Job 8: 5.6.20). But Job knew that that was not the point in question. He replied, "Truly, I know it is so, but how can a man be righteous before God?"

That is the essential question. How can one have an unburdened conscience? The answer did not come until after Christ's coming. The righteousness that I wish for, God wants to grant me. "By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2: 8). Because Jesus died and was raised again, God declares me righteous and opens the gates of heaven for me. Not because I am righteous in myself, but because my Saviour has borne the punishment of all my wrongs.

UNCOVERING EVIL

The presence of the supernatural power of God in a church can take that church beyond limits.
It can also uproot the presence of evil in the midst of Gods children. In Acts 5, a couple were uprooted through this. If we are going to sanitise the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Just as we need Him to heal, save...More

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; ...More

In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, but has manifested in its own due season His word.
