Have you forgotten Him?

My son, give attention to my words, incline your ear to my sayings. Keep them in the midst of you heart; for they are life to those who find them.
Proverbs 4:20-22.

Have you forgotten Him?
Stop complaining! God has created a wonderful, varied world with sun and snow, the sea for your sense of adventure, the desert for your understanding of immensity and the trees and flowers for their beauty. What do you make of these things?

He has given you simple advice for leading your life: "Do not steal; do not kill; honour your father and mother." Have you kept it?

He promises to tend, answer and uphold you. You need only speak to Him, but He rarely hears from you!

He has given you the possibility to distinguish between good and evil, to make choices. How do you do it? He would like to have a place in your life, a privileged moment together with you. But you are so busy! You are tired, discouraged, troubled by all sorts of worries, yet you forget that He is waiting for you to call Him!

You are more preoccupied with your money than with Him! You like superficial, simple distractions, even some with dubious consequences. You want to live in freedom, not bound by principles that you find rigid or outdated. You want to enjoy life irrespective of the consequences and without thinking of Him.

But He loves you. He wants to lead you to the joy that Jesus has provided by dying for you. Jesus took the sin of your indifference and rebellion towards God upon Himself. He wants to save you, give you new life, welcome you kindly, counsel you. In a word, He loves you.

He is there with His untiring love, repeatedly saying; "Follow me!" He is your God who created you and He wants to be your Father.

Today's reading: Micah 1:1-16 · Proverbs 27:19-27

OF KEYS AND DOORS

Every apartment or compartment with a lock has its key. It takes a key to open the gate of a house and several keys to enter the house its rooms. If you have fridge, car or wardrobe, you will equally have their keys. From the foregoing therefore, it is apparent that several good things with value have their...More

APPLY THE KEY

Every blessing worth its salt requires a key without which the seeker cannot access it. While some people have never experienced open doors, others once did, but the doors hitherto opened to them have been shut. In
