In many practical matters of life moderation or...

Jesus said ..., I am the way, the truth, and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6.

In many practical matters of life moderation or "the golden mean" is advisable, and rightly so. However, there are issues in which any thought of taking a neutral position is out of the question. When it is a matter of eternal truths and the way to seek God, there are no alternatives. In Matthew 7 the Lord Jesus Christ speaks of

a broad and a narrow way,
a wide and a narrow gate,
a bad and a good tree,
a foolish and a wise man,
a house built on sand and one built on a rock
In a conversation with a 17-year old lad the question arose as to whether he was saved. "Not exactly," he said. "So you are lost?" I inquired. "No, no that either!" he replied. When I showed him from the examples just quoted that he was either saved or lost, he answered, "I don't agree with you."

We must have the courage to look reality in the face, and accept what God's Word says. If I am not saved, then I am lost. If my pathway does not lead to heaven, then it can only lead to hell.

The cross of Christ is the line of demarcation, separating people into two groups. On one side are those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord; they are the redeemed. On the other side we find all who do not believe and have not acknowledged their guilt before God.

One is either a child of God or an enemy of God. It is impossible to walk on two paths at the same time. And in this matter there is no middle way.

Today's reading: Genesis 18:16-33 · Jude vv. 17-25

FASTING IS NECESSARY

To relate with the Holy Spirit, you must be holy. You must also exercise a living faith, pray and fast. Some people will tell you that because had finished the work of salvation, there is no need to fast. To them, fasting is completely needless and is some form of self-inflicted punishment. But they forget that...More

HOW PROPHETIC ARE YOUR NAMES?

The name you bear is very important because it serves as your identity and your future may be connected to it. The name a person bears is sometimes indicative of the experiences he or she will encounter in life. Take for instance Moses: this name means "drawn out of water"
