Many people find it difficult to believe that our great God, who created everything, speaks or has spoken to us human beings. They do not deny the existence of God, but see Him as an exceedingly distant being in view of the inconceivable greatness of creation. It is incomprehensible for them that God could care about this tiny speck known as the planet earth, let alone each individual person. Whoever thinks likewise is unaware of the means that almighty God has at His disposal.

All our thinking and understanding is marked by what is material and visible. We can hardly imagine anything else, even if our thoughts wander in the extremes of the universe. This explains why man can never fully comprehend God.

God, however, has means and ways in other spheres. Through His Spirit He has imparted to specially chosen men thoughts and words that He wished to make known to us. We have them in the Bible, the Word of God. Is it then really so inconceivable that the same God, who through the word of His power called all creation into being, also wishes to speak to us through Holy Scripture?

Read the Bible! Do so with a sincere, seeking heart. You will realise that God's Word is perfect. Everything in it is inter-related, for what was recorded by many writers has a single author: God, the Holy Spirit.
