Five Christian students were killed on Sunday in a tragic series of car crashes while traveling home from a Bible college in Wyoming.

According to KATV, the students were identified as High School seniors Susana "Suzy" Prime, 18, and Ava Luplow, 18, and recent graduates Salomon Correa, 21, Maggie Franco, 20, and Andrea Prime, 23. Andrea and Suzy are sisters.

The students were driving home from Jackson Hole Bible College on Interstate 80 on Sunday when a Dodge Ram 3500 traveling east on the west side of the interstate crashed into a passenger car and commercial truck. This collision forced another truck to cross onto the other side of the road and collide head-on with the students' Ford F-150.

The five young people were killed in the crash after their vehicle went up in flames. Others were critically injured.

As reported by The Christian Post, the driver who caused the crash has been arrested on suspicion of impairment and could face additional charges. An investigation into the crash is underway.

Faith Bible Fellowship, the students' church, noted that the community was mourning this significant loss.

"Our fellowship is mourning the loss of five of our young adults," the church wrote on Facebook.

The church later announced that a combined funeral service would be held for the victims on Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. at the Sylvan Hills High School Performing Arts Center.

The church also held a candlelight vigil for the students. More than 100 people attended.

Humble Crumb Bakery, where Suzy and Ava worked, paid tribute to the young women and the other students involved in the crash.

"Our lives are forever changed and the bakery will continually feel this void. Our small team lost two of our own, two of our gems, on Sunday," the bakery wrote in a statement on Sunday.

"Ava and Suzy (along with 3 of their friends) were killed in a horrific car crash Sunday evening as they returned from a visit to Jackson Hole Bible College in Wyoming. The news has broken our hearts, and we are still trying the wrap our minds around this new reality.

"We have ONE comfort and ONE hope, and that is the comfort that comes only from God. Ava and Suzy loved Jesus, and they knew Jesus as their redeeming Savior. They wanted to serve him with their lives, and they were trusting in HIM for their salvation. They are now with HIM in glory, and while we suffer their loss, our hearts are also filled with hope," the statement continued.

The bakery will remain closed for the next two weeks as staff members mourn the loss of Ava and Suzy.
