The Perfect Expression of God’s Thoughts

The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it arose. The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north; the wind whirls about continually, and comes again on its circuit. All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; to the place from which the rivers come, there they return again.
Ecclesiastes 1:5-7 NKJV

The Perfect Expression of God's Thoughts
Ecclesiastes is the great, classic book on "philosophy," written by Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived. He confesses from the beginning of his book that philosophy only goes around in circles. It is, of course, based on what is observable, and all the creation that can be seen follows a circular path. The sun, the winds, the waters, all these most powerful and interesting agents in reference to our very existence, must move in their circuits, or we would cease to exist. The blood in our bodies requires the same. We are told that the same is true of every atom, as well as of the starry heaven with its "wheels within wheels."

All this complex array of circles is so amazing and accurate. Honest philosophy must confess that there is a Mind higher than the universe and outside of it that has conceived and created this magnificent order.

Philosophy can go no further, but this great God has revealed Himself, both in the Scriptures, the written Word of God, and in His own beloved Son, who is the living Word of God—the perfect expression of God's thoughts. This revelation is more marvelous than the wonders of creation, going far beyond all that human senses can observe. Scripture is worthy of our deepest attention and meditation, and Christ is worthy of our absolute trust and adoration!

"The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting" (Ps. 93:1-2).

God in His grace has centered every blessing for us in Christ. Without Christ, we have nothing, nothing but our sins; with Christ we have all things, and therefore want nothing in addition to Christ. As...More

NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

There is a nature that is of the Earth and there is a nature that is of Heaven. Since the fall of man, the earthly nature of man has become corrupted and therefore is greatly under the influence of the kingdom of Satan. Characteristic features of this nature are: wickedness, moral perversion - sodomy and all sorts of...More
