An Invitation to All

All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:27–30

An Invitation to All
It is indeed marvelous to hear these words from the lips of the One who is King of kings: “I am gentle and lowly in heart.” What a great contrast to those who set themselves up to seek kingly honor! Their qualifications are far from valid, while the first words of the Lord Jesus spoken above, provide clear proof that He alone has the qualifications of the King of God’s choice.

Already now, before the time for Christ to be exalted to reign publicly over all the world, He clearly declares that everything has been delivered to Him by the Father. He is not only King of Israel, but King of kings. And He is more than King: He is Son of the Father, and, as such, the dignity and glory that belong to Him far exceed our understanding: “No one knows the Son except the Father.” Also, “Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son.” Yet in grace He adds, “and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” All believers, through the revelation given to them by the Son, know the Father in living reality.

The invitation the Lord Jesus gives to all who labor and are heavy laden is beautiful and amazing. There are those laboring to correct their own sinful character, and there are those burdened by the sorrow and sin all around them. The load is far too heavy to bear. He alone can bear it for them if they will come to Him. He is fully accessible and welcoming, unlike most kings. Let us enjoy His loving compassion!

BROKENNESS

In your relationship with God, one place you need to get to is the place of brokenness. To be broken is to have some form of injury that makes the object less than a whole. In spiritual parlance, it is to break or subdue the flesh in order to be more profitable to the kingdom of God. Why do you need to be broken?...More

DELIVERANCE: DIVINE ASSURANCE

When God speaks, that settles it. He reigns forever. When He gives a decree, it is forever. When He says "surely", it means surely. When He says surely, it will be well with me, nobody can change it. He says surely, by His stripes I am healed, and nobody can change this. He says surely, everything I do shall...More
