But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Doxologies of the New Testament (14)â€”Our Lord and Savior
Both of the apostle Peter's epistles end with a doxology, and they are both centered upon the subject of grace. This was something Peter knew about personally, having known not only the Lord's saving grace but also His restoring grace. This second epistle was written in view of the apostle Peter's imminent death through martyrdom (). We need to appreciate and grow in the knowledge of the grace which has saved us. This alone will produce fruit in our lives. This grace ought to be our continual occupation, not only on the Lord's Day, but every day. It will be so throughout all of eternity. "To Him be glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen"!
