Doxologies of the New Testament (17)—Worship God and the Lamb

All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen."
Revelation 7:11-12

Doxologies of the New Testament (17)—Worship God and the Lamb
This is the final doxology of the Bible. It is in response to a vision of "a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues." This white-robed company stood before the throne and before the Lamb saying, "Salvation belongs to our God and to the Lamb!" We learn further on that they were saved out of the Great Tribulation (Rev. 7:—but for the salvation of sinful humans. Whether Old Testament believers, or those who make up the Church presently, or those of the nations saved out of the Great Tribulation in the future, these worshipers all have something in common. They all had been lost, sinful people, and they all were washed in the blood of the Lamb.
