The Blood of Christ (3)â€”Blood and Water
What is the significance of the blood and water which came from our Savior's side? It is often said, the blood was for judicial cleansing and the water was for moral cleansing. But what does this mean?

God is holy and must judge sins, and so we read that "the wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23). What could answer to God's judicial claims? Already in the Old Testament it was said, . This brings our thoughts, words, and actions practically in line with what is pleasing to our Father and the Lord Jesus. The water coming from the Savior's side reminds us that His sacrifice is the basis of all our blessing!
