Our problems – God’s solution

They said among themselves, Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us? But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away - for it was very large.
Mark 16:3.4.

Our problems - God's solution
Three women were on their way to the tomb, engrossed in their conversation and downcast. They were at their wits' end over a great problem: the large, heavy stone sealing the tomb. Seemingly insuperable, it completely occupied their thoughts, revealed their weakness and hindered their plans. They arrived at the tomb and discovered that the stone had gone - incredible! It had been rolled away, taking their worry and problem with it.

Their fears had depressed them all. We read nothing of any prayer. They were occupied with their problem, when there was really nothing needing a solution! The stone had been rolled away, and only for them; for the Lord's resurrection that was unnecessary. They were to enter the tomb to be convinced of the resurrection of their Lord. He had risen again!

What do we learn from this?

Let us take our problems to the Lord first, and to others afterwards, should it be necessary.
Let us not forget that our Lord can act and help us in every dilemma even today.
Let us count on surprises, for God has no problems, but He has plans with us and for us.
Let us rather look up more often to see His power and glory.
Large stones may be a problem for us, but not for Him.

Today's reading: Leviticus 10:1-20 · Psalms 56:1-7
