Today's reading: Numbers 4:1-20

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17

Three Italian workers returning home from Switzerland after the holiday season met on the St. Gotthard pass. The first said, "This year was my best one so far. I earned a nice sum of money as a waiter in the Imperial Hotel. Another year like that and I won't have to work as a waiter again."
The next also reported that financially, his season was good. "What about you?" they asked the third man. His tale was different. He said, "In the hotel where I worked, I cared for a very sick guest who wouldn't go to hospital. As he neared his end, he asked, ‘Isn't there anyone here who can comfort a dying man?' He took my hand and pleaded with me to say a word of comfort and assurance of faith to him."
"Sweat broke out all over me. I couldn't say a word, I was so embarrassed. Then I remembered my mother's Bible at the bottom of my suitcase. I fetched it and read the man a few verses that my mother had underlined. I came across the verse: ‘God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'
The dying man lifted up his hands and repeated the words. Suddenly a change came over him. The anguish in his heart vanished, and his face radiated with joy. With an effort he managed to say, ‘Thank you, now I have everlasting life and will go to Jesus in heaven.'
Since that happened, I have read the Bible myself every day. And I have also found Jesus as my Saviour and beem made happy. So I can also say that this was my best year."

OFFENDED IN CHRIST?

The Christian race must be run with lots of patience or else it will be bungled midway. If you are inpatient with Gods timing, you will not only get into trouble but may not be able to finish the race. A good number of backsliders derailed from their heavenly track because of impatience. In Matthew 11:6 Jesus...More

Jehovah appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre. And...

Jehovah appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre. And he sat at the tent-door in the heat of the day. And he lifted up his eyes and saw, and behold, three men standing near him.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

It is one thing to receive the anointing and another to keep growing on it. There are people who had the anointing, but today, everything has virtually ebbed out. It is possible to connect with the Holy Spirit and to continue to flow in the power of the anointing even at increasing levels. If this is your desire,...More

BEFORE YOU GET ANGRY

Yesterday we learnt it is not right for us to get angry with God or to take offence against Him, even if we experience the deferment of our hopes. The example of John the Baptist who earlier acknowledged Jesus as the Messiah, but later doubted Him because of his painful experience of incarceration is a warning...More
