Conversion

To turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.
Acts 26:18.

Conversion
God has the good news of His saving grace preached and propagated, so that people are converted to Him. He receives each one who acknowledges his lost state before Him and turns to Him with a confession of his sins. The work of redemption accomplished by Jesus Christ on the cross forms the basis of His forgiveness and the blessings that ensue.

For everyone conversion to God is a decisive step that affects their future life and eternity.

It is a matter of a transformation from darkness to light. Previously we were in Satan's domain: he seduced people to sin and kept them in his power under the fear of death. By personal faith in the Lord Jesus, however, we are freed from the power of the devil and brought to God. Henceforth we live in the bright light of God's presence and can rejoice in His love.

Another important change takes place on conversion: God removes our guilt entirely, when we confess our sins to Him, believing in the Redeemer Jesus Christ, and grants us a portion in the blessing of the people of God. We then know that all our sins are forgiven and we need never fear divine judgment. At the same time we enjoy a spiritual blessing: we are children of God, have the Holy Spirit indwelling us and belong to the company of the redeemed.

Today's reading: 1 Chronicles 23:1-32 · 1 Timothy 1:18-20

UNCOVERING EVIL

The presence of the supernatural power of God in a church can take that church beyond limits.
It can also uproot the presence of evil in the midst of Gods children. In Acts 5, a couple were uprooted through this. If we are going to sanitise the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Just as we need Him to heal, save...More

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; ...More

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)

In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, but has manifested in its own due season His word.
(Titus 1:2-3)

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)
I can lie. Titus could too, and so could the Cretans. But God can not lie. I can deceive. But...More
