No plan without a planner

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

No plan without a planner
On the tour of a machine building company, visitors finally come to the assembly department. Here they can watch how a finished machine is made from many individual components.

An engineer explains to them which steps are necessary before a machine is ready for operation. After the design engineer's draft, drawings are made and parts lists are generated. The individual parts are commissioned and finally arrive at the assembly line. Every screw and every sheet metal fulfils a specific function.

As the visitors admire the fully assembled machine, the engineer says, "You have now got a small impression of how much thinking, organisation and information are necessary before such a complex machine is completely manufactured.

"I always feel that the universe, which is far more complex, cannot have come into being by chance. That's why I don't believe in the theory of evolution. What applies here in our company cannot be any different with the laws of the universe. If a functioning system is to come into being, it always requires a planner, a developer.

"For this reason, I believe the statements of the Bible. It teaches us that God is this planner. He created everything in heaven and on earth. He is the one we are to worship as Creator."

Today's reading: Numbers 11:10-23 · Matthew 8:1-13

(1 Corinthians 15:29)

Who are "the dead," and who are those "baptized for the dead"? The next verse gives an important hint: "Why do we also endanger ourselves every...More
