Justification by faith

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1

Justification by faith
I have been justified by faith from God. This is not due to any merit on my part, but only to grace from God. Because I believed that Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive my guilt, God has justified me. Now I stand before Him as if I had never sinned. Therefore I have peace with God.

I know that all my sins have been blotted out by the blood of the Lord Jesus. As a result, there is no longer any question between God and me regarding my sins. Everything has been put right. This certainty gives me settled peace.

In justifying me, God has not only acted graciously but also justly. He cannot punish sins twice. Because the Lord Jesus has already borne my punishment, God’s justice has demanded that I be acquitted through faith in the Saviour. Thus, the peace of my conscience rests on a righteous foundation.

With regard to my sins, God is the supreme and final authority to pass judgment. If He has acquitted me of my guilt and justified me, no one can raise an objection to it. Therefore, any doubt that begins to arise in my heart must give way before the Word of God and make room for peace.

Today’s reading: Deuteronomy 6:16-7:6 · Matthew 22:34-46

Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their...More

TOTAL COMPLIANCE REQUIRED

When we teach about tithes and first fruits, some people think that it is the pastor's way of making money but they are making a great mistake. When you put God first, He will make sure that your blessings are irreversible. But if you decide to give Him second place in your life, you may not be happy to see what...More
