Have faith in God

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; or His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
Isaiah 59:1

Have faith in God
Above the clouds in calm, majestic splendour,
Our Lord is now enthroned, the Son of God,
Who once came down in love so pure and tender,
To suffer for our sins, and shed His blood.
In trusting Him all doubt and fear and worry
Are swept away, for He is on the throne:
Confusion, panic, senseless rush and hurry
Are quieted in seeing Him alone.
The world goes mad, but He remains the Master,
And soon will come to take His rightful power:
To those unsaved, what solemn, dread disaster!
But to the saved, a welcome, glorious hour!
Have faith in God, the living God, the Saviour,
Who rules in wondrous wisdom, truth and love;
Who soon will come to take His own forever
To be with Him in purest joy above.
L. M. Grant (1917–2011)

Today’s reading: Deuteronomy 21:1-9 · Matthew 28:11-20

NEGATIVE LIVING

Life comprises of positive and negative elements. As a matter of necessity, it is not good for someone to opt for negative living. The fact that Jesus Christ was destined to die for the sin of the whole world does not exonerate Judas Iscariot from the evil that led him to the idea of betraying the King of Glory....More
