Josiane is a child of divorce. After her...

And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.

We have known and believed the love that God has for us.

Ephesians 2:17–19; 1 John 4:16

Josiane is a child of divorce. After her parents separated, they no longer cared for their daughter. So she grew up in foster families and children’s homes, without parental love and attention.

As a teenager, Josiane once again found a new family. At the beginning, things didn’t go well there at all. Later she speaks about it: “I was very wild and couldn’t stand being given instructions. I wanted to decide everything for myself and assert myself, and if someone opposed me I started to break everything.”

A few months later, Josiane was completely changed. Her aggressiveness had almost completely disappeared; she enjoyed learning and was suddenly helpful. She says, “This family is very different from anywhere I’ve been before – there’s friendliness here. I’ve never been reproached or rebuffed. I even have my own room. And above all, I realise that my new parents love me. For the first time, I can fit into a regular family life.”

The kindness and goodness Josiane experiences is like a reflection of God’s love. He loves us no matter what our past lives may be. The greatest evidence of God’s love is the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, who went to His death to bring us to God. God’s love makes it easy for us to turn to Him from all distance and alienation.

Given modern trends and need for details, most institutions have various books in which records are kept and can be retrieved in years to come. Every...More
