Today's reading: Numbers 33:1-37

What shall I do, Lord?
Acts 22:10

If in some particular situation, you are unaware of what the Lord's will is, then wait and do nothing. It is better to refrain from undertaking anything than setting out on a way that will prove wrong. However you could be in a situation that demands an immediate decision. If you lead your life with the Lord, then He will stand by you, if you do what seems obvious, putting your trust in Him. But give up all self-willed thinking. It is impossible to ascertain the Lord's will, if one pursues a pathway for a purpose chosen in self-will.
Do not think that every opportunity that offers itself is automatically the Lord's will! If it corresponds to your own wishes, there is always the danger that you might consider your will to the Lord's will. Circumstances alone are not a reliable signpost, nor is your own inclination. However, God's way is not in contradiction to circumstances or our inclinations on principle. If these agree with His Word and its spiritual principles, you can confidently enter the open door. He will go along with you, even if the wind blows against you soon after.
Maybe some of your doubts are the result of your wanting too much. You inquire: "Lord, what shall I do? "Where shall I go?" when the Lord wants you to do nothing and go nowhere at that moment, but simply to stay where He has put you. Many trying questions would never be asked, if we were content with the place He has given us.
Ask yourself what the Lord Jesus would do in this or that situation. We do not get an answer for everything in life, but in many cases, this question may give you some light.

Know When To Say Nothing

The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue.' Isaiah 50:4 NIV

Isaiah writes: The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.'

Let's face it;...More
