Jesus Christ is coming again!

Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief.

I will come again and receive you to Myself.

Revelation 3:3; John 14:3

Jesus Christ is coming again!
This is the clear statement of the Bible. For some He will appear like a thief; for others He will come as Saviour.

People who want nothing to do with Jesus Christ and reject Him as Saviour will experience Him as a thief:

o His coming is undesirable for them. They have turned their backs on Him and want nothing to do with Him. They would gladly continue to live without Him.
o He will come completely unexpectedly for unbelievers. Because they pay no attention to what the Bible says, they will be surprised when He suddenly arrives.
o When He comes, He will take away everything that is important to them. Every feeling of self-righteousness, and every illusion about their person and their future, will then burst like a soap bubble.

His coming for those who believe in Him and know Him as their personal Saviour will be completely the opposite:

o They heartily desire the Lord Jesus to come, for they love Him and look forward to being with Him eternally.
o They are expecting Him. Perhaps they are mockingly asked, “Where is the promise of His coming?” Then they remain convinced: “The Lord does not delay His promise.”
o They will be richly blessed at His coming. He will redeem their weak bodies and transform them into conformity with His body of glory.

How will Jesus Christ come for you – as a thief or as a redeemer?

Today’s reading: 1 Kings 15:9-24 · John 10:31-42

When You Have A Vision

I was not disobedient to the vision.' Acts 26:19 NIV

When God gives you a vision for your life, you need to know how to:

(1) Hold it. Your vision is governed by a time frame: If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.' (Habakkuk 2:3 NLT) Some of us can...More

Thoughts on the Gospel of John (113)

He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him my Father will honour.
John 12:25.26.
