December 7, 2015 Today's reading: Numbers 36 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Revelation 1:8;22:13 Alpha and omega are the first and the last letters of the Greek alphabet. When God said that He is the "alpha and the omega", it clearly signifies that He had the first word to say in this world's history and will also have the last word. God spoke, and the universe was created: "The worlds were framed by the word of God . The world in which we live had a beginning. It came into being through the voice of the Almighty. And it will have an end, so as to give room to the "new heaven" and the "new earth" (Revelation 21:1), which are eternal and will be called into existence by the same voice. All the activity of man's long history with the sighing and crying, its tears and joyful songs - all will have taken place between that alpha and omega. All that we perceive with our senses is transient. "But the word of Lord endures for ever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you"(1 Peter 1:25). Have we paid heed to it? The Word of God reveals all that we need to know about the past, the present and the future, the beginning and the end. God alone can give us reliable information on this subject. He had created us in His image. His Word assures us of it, and points out that we are responsible to Him. |

(Luke 24:26-27) Two discouraged disciples were reasoning among themselves as...More |

This is the fact that there is a God. We cannot be talking of the armour of God if there is no God. Anyone who thinks that there is no God is a fool (Psalm 14:1). You have to pray that God would reveal Himself to you. The...More |
