Eltz Castle in the Eifel region is...

In My Father’s house are many mansions. … I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:2, 6

Eltz Castle in the Eifel region is one of the most beautiful castles in Germany. It was built on a 70 m high rock formation, which is surrounded on three sides by the river Elz. In the 800 years of its existence, the castle has never been captured or destroyed, and to this day it is owned by the family of the same name. Its current owner, Karl Graf und Edler Herr von und zu Eltz-Kempenich, took on the task of keeping the castle open to the public.

The individual buildings of the magnificent castle complex belong to three different lineages of the Counts of Eltz. In 1268 in fact, the castle and the land belonging to it were divided among the three von Eltz brothers, who then lived in the castle in a community of heirs. A “castle peace treaty” regulated their life in the community. In the version of January 15, 1430, it says: “No one who wishes to be admitted to the community, and who is eligible by birth, can be refused admission if they are willing to abide by the peace treaty.”

Perhaps in the Middle Ages there were some peasant farmers in the area who would have liked to live in safety in the castle – but they were not “born to it”. They didn’t belong to the noble families entitled to inherit.

Whoever wants to move into the divine mansions of the Father’s house doesn’t have to be of noble descent. And yet it is necessary that a person be “born to it” – through the “new birth”, as the Lord Jesus Christ explained in detail to the Bible teacher, Nicodemus (John 3). For this, one must receive the Son of God into one’s life by faith. For it is only through Christ and His sacrificial death that we can receive peace with God and respond to God’s “peace treaty”. Thus, Christ Himself is the way to the Father and to the Father’s house.

Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their...More

TOTAL COMPLIANCE REQUIRED

When we teach about tithes and first fruits, some people think that it is the pastor's way of making money but they are making a great mistake. When you put God first, He will make sure that your blessings are irreversible. But if you decide to give Him second place in your life, you may not be happy to see what...More

FACING OUR PAST

READ:
.
Like Paul,we don't need to parade our failures or to pretend they didn't happen. Instead, we can thank the Lord that through His grace and power, our past is forgiven, our presence is changed, and our future is bright with hope for all he has prepared for us. - David...More
