Don’t give up!
In the Dents du Midi (a mountain range in the Western Alps) there is a place popularly called the “Pass of the Lazy”. Some climbers only make it that far. Tired from the efforts of the long climb, they spare themselves the last steep stretch.

Satisfied with the view they already have here, they put down their backpacks. They think they have done enough and have no idea what a magnificent panorama the summit offers. The effort of the ascent would be really worth it.

In the lives of many Christians, there is also a “pass of the lazy”. How many goals are enthusiastically pursued but then not achieved because a person is discouraged by difficulties and gives up. Such a one has “sought the kingdom of God” up to a certain point, but has then stopped “halfway up” to rest. Now they cannot gather up the strength to continue.

Many earthly goals remain unattainable for us. But when it comes to heavenly blessings, we shouldn’t stop half way. Let us look to the Lord Jesus, who has gone ahead on the path of faith and reached the goal! Let us focus our hearts on the riches that are given to us in Him! This gives us strength to persevere and to claim of all the blessings that God has provided for us.
