Time for God

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2

Time for God
Time is a precious commodity. We usually have too little of it because time passes faster than we would like. Many hours of the day are filled with duties which we can hardly avoid. Nevertheless, we still have moments that we can use freely. How do we spend them? What do we use them for?

It’s very important in our lives to take time for God. Because He is our Creator, He has a right that we listen attentively to what He has to say to us.

o God addresses an important message to all people: He calls us to repent and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, who died to redeem sinful people. God wants us to consider and recognise how great our guilt is before Him. If we confess our sins to Him and believe that the Lord Jesus bore the punishment for them on the cross, He forgives us and accepts us as His beloved children. Today is the right time for this conversion to God. Let’s not put it off until tomorrow!
o God also wants to speak to believers who are already at peace with Him. This time with God, where we listen to Him while reading the Bible and talk to Him through prayer, is the most important time of the day. That’s why we need to reserve a fixed period of time for it and put aside everything that could distract us from our fellowship with God.

Today’s reading: Genesis 41:53-42:8 · Psalms 27:7-14

I can lie. Titus could too, and so could the Cretans. But God can not lie. I can deceive. But...More

When You Have A Vision

I was not disobedient to the vision.' Acts 26:19 NIV

When God gives you a vision for your life, you need to know how to:

(1) Hold it. Your vision is governed by a time frame: If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.' (Habakkuk 2:3 NLT) Some of us can...More

Thoughts on the Gospel of John (113)

He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him my Father will honour.
John 12:25.26.
