The film of your life

Rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
Luke 10:20

The film of your life
Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth in the Caribbean connected to the USA. The island is considered a central gateway for drugs from South America to the USA. Police and drug enforcement agencies have their hands full there. Many drug couriers caught in the past are incarcerated on the island. A Christian woman used to regularly visit prisoners and occasionally attended court hearings of offenders.

One day, Hector, a notorious drug smuggler, was convicted. He was caught when a conversation he had with another smuggler was recorded. The Christian lady visited him in his cell.

“Hector, the judges convicted you because of that recording. But do you know that your entire life is being watched and recorded by God? And one day, God will show you your life. If people have such technical means, shouldn’t God be able to do it even more so?”

Then she had Hector read from the 20th chapter of Revelation: “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books” (verse 12).

On that day, Hector turned to God. He understood that Christ had borne the punishment for his sins on the cross and he believed in Him. Thus, he received forgiveness of his sins and was able to say: My name is written in the book of life and will never be erased!

Today’s reading: Exodus 31:12-18 · Luke 13:10-17

Two discouraged disciples were reasoning among themselves...

Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory? And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, He interpreted them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
(Luke 24:26-27)

SPIRITUAL WARFARE I

When we are told to put on the whole armour of God, one thing becomes clear instantly. This is the fact that there is a God. We cannot be talking of the armour of God if there is no God. Anyone who thinks that there is no God is a fool (Psalm 14:1). You have to pray that God would reveal Himself to you. The...More
