Jesus is God
No human authority can explain this. Jesus did not become God. He was God already at His birth. The angel told Mary: "That Holy One who is to be born shall be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:35). It is a mystery: "God was manifested in the flesh" (1 Timothy 3:16). Jesus is God come down in the form of a Man without sin so as to approach His creature deprived of any relationship with Him through sin. The Bible presents that wondrous Person who came to us in great humility. If there was in Him "no beauty that we should desire him", if "he was despised and rejected by men" (Isaiah 53:2-3), yet He clearly revealed His glory as the Son of God.
