“There is none righteous, no not one”...

I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? 3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Job 9:2; Romans 3:24

"There is none righteous, no not one" the Bible states in Romans 3:10. Yet God says, "Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous" (Psalm 32:11). Where do these righteous people come from? Is it possible that an unrighteous person can become righteous before God? It is, through the blood of Christ, who died for our sins.
What must we do in order to become righteous before God? Simply this: believe on Jesus Christ, whom God sent into the world for us as the Redeemer (cf. Romans 5:8-9; 1 Corinthians 15:3).
We read: "By grace you have been saved" (Ephesians 2:8). This is God's outstretched hand, offering the sinner His forgiveness gratuitously. But the verse adds the words, "through faith". That is where man comes in.
Do I need His grace? Absolutely, for God says, "There is no difference, for all have sinned" (Romans 3:22-23). But God opened the way for the sinner to be forgiven and thoroughly cleansed: Jesus Christ, the sinless son of God suffered God's punishment for everyone who believes on the cross, so that all who lay hold on His atoning work can be pronounced free.
"Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins" (1 John 1:9).
Today's reading: 2 Samuel 17
