Children, sons and heirs of God

As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.... The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
Romans 8:14.16

Children, sons and heirs of God
On our conversion we become children of God. "As many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1, 12.13). As His children we enjoy God's infinite love: "Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God" (1 John 3, 1).

God has also received us as sons. This happened when we were sealed with the Holy Spirit. We now belong to God, for He has brought us into this position by adoption. He did not receive us as servants, but on the level of sons in His family. What a privilege! Our relationship with Him is not marked by fear. We can pray to Him in freedom and with, confidence. As sons we experience intimate fellowship with our heavenly Father and have an understanding and knowledge of His thoughts.

"If children, then heirs, - heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ" (Romans 8, 17). As His children and sons we are also His heirs. The inheritance that God will make over to His Son, the chief heir Jesus Christ, is the whole creation. But He will not take up that inheritance alone but with us, His co-heirs. With Him we shall one day reign over creation.

My times are in Your hand'Psalms 31:15 NKJV

The Psalm writes, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hand' (vv. 14-15 NKJV). As you walk with God you'll find that you spend more time waiting than you do receiving. And when you receive what you're waiting for, then...More

A Statement Of Purpose To Live By

Always give yourselves fully.' 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV

Next time you pass a McDonald's, think about this statement from the one of the founders: Ray Kroc. Press on! Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent....More
