Be prepared!
Bill was well-known by everyone in his naval unit, as he always wore a life-jacket. He insisted on it in spite of all the teasing he had to endure. Out at sea he was never seen without his life-jacket. In 1945 his unit was cruising in the South Pacific, when unexpectedly a bomber squadron appeared, spotted the ship and began firing and dropping bombs. The ship sank. The rescue team found a sole survivor: Bill. He had taken the right precaution early enough; his comrades, regretfully had not.

One danger threatens us all: death. No-one knows when it will strike. After death .

Being ready means that we have put things right with God. Then He bids us welcome, having pardoned us in Christ. So we lead our lives in the sight of our kind Father in heaven and look forward to future glory with Him.
