Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past finding out!

My word shall accomplish what I please.

Romans 11: 33; Isaiah 55: 11.

A Christian publisher in France once received the following letter:

"The means used by God are truly mysterious. This is my story: One day my cell mate in the prison ran out of tobacco. So he asked the prisoner in the next cell for some. The tobacco arrived - wrapped in one of your calendar leaves. There were two verses from the Bible on one page, a brief report of an experience on the other, and your address at the end. My fellow prisoner understood little of it, certainly not much more than the one who had delivered it, for he couldn't read or write. But every time he helped us out of our difficulty with tobacco, we received a new calendar leaf. And every time I asked my companion not to throw it away, because to me it was important.

One day my companion was released. Our delivery merchant next door asked to be transferred to my cell, which was granted. So he came together with his calendar, which we hung from the bars of the window. I could then explain to my new cell mate how important the Bible is. He asked me to read and explain the text to him every day. We both came from Maghreb. He is a Moslem, and I was brought up in a Christian background.

My life in prison is sometimes a nightmare, but I put my hope in God and Jesus Christ. Please pray for me."

Today‘s reading: Numbers 24: 14 - 25 · Matthew 14: 1 - 13

FALSE PROPHETS AND THEIR PROPHECIES-FOOLISH PROPHETS

The word of Jehovah came unto me, saying: Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say unto them that prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of Jehovah. Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow after their own spirit, and have seen nothing!...More

EVERYONE NEEDS A MIRACLE

Some years ago, I was invited to be the guest speaker at a garden party in an exclusive, highbrow residential area. Because I arrived at the venue quite early, I was made to sit for a while in the house of my host. The house was an exquisite parade of wealth and splendour. I had never seen such brazen display of...More

FOR CHRIST'S SAKE DON'T!

A negative change is generally abhorred by men. Everyone craves progress. We always desire to keep ascending the ladder of success. No one wants to make a u-turn in the journey of greatness. The greatest journey whose end has the greatest significance is the journey to Heaven. This journey is only made in Jesus...More
