Following Jesus
In the gospels we often hear Jesus say, "Follow me" or "Come after me." Jesus never calls anyone to serve Him, but to follow Him. Today, all who have been saved by His work on the cross, for whom He laid down His life, are invited to accompany Him. When He chose His disciples, the first reason given is for them to be with Him: "He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach, and to have .
