Unusual vengeance
A Japanese Christian discovered a brand of toothpaste that was marketed extremely successfully. His product was, however, soon copied illegally. But the deceit came to light, and the guilty person was condemned to a term of imprisonment.

The Christian manufacturer heard that the family of his dishonest rival was living in great poverty; so he sent the prisoner's wife an anonymous donation every month. In their surprise the family wondered who the generous benefactor was.

One day the convict's wife caught a boy putting an envelope with some banknotes in her letter box. She insisted that he should tell her the name of the sender and finally managed to elicit it from him: it was the name of the Christian business competitor. When she learned that it was none other than the man they had deceived, she burst into tears. Even her husband in prison was deeply moved when she told him.

When the husband was later released from jail, he immediately visited the benefactor to express his regret, his astonishment and his thanks for the good done to his family. The Christian took the opportunity to explain how God invites the guilty to turn to Him for the forgiveness of their wrongdoing. This offer was even available to the murderers of His Son.
