Jesus seated in heaven, what rest for us!

After the Lord had spoken to them, he was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

This Man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever sat down at the right hand of God.

Mark 16: 19; Hebrews 10: 12.

Jesus seated in heaven, what rest for us!
The gospel of Mark presents Jesus in the character of a servant dedicated to God. It ends by showing us Jesus raised to heaven, .

Have I the slightest doubt concerning my salvation, the fact that I am free from condemnation? That doubt must disappear, if by faith I see Jesus sitting at God's right hand. The matter of my sins has been put in order: Jesus bore them on the cross. If He had not atoned for them before God, my Saviour would not now be seated. But because He is seated, I am at peace. If God expresses His satisfaction, I need not be troubled.

O Lord, we wait for Thee to come,
And take us to Thy Father's home;
Oh, what triumphant joy ‘twill be
To spend eternity with Thee!

Today‘s reading: 1 Samuel 9: 1 - 14 · Psalms 91: 1 - 8

Today, many people are also becoming prayerless and shifting their or trust from God to uncertain riches. They are now tending towards the belief that money can fix everything. If you are in such...More

A LESSON FROM GOLIATH

At the first sight of David, Goliath despised him. He was amazed that the children of Israel could find no other man to fight him than a young boy. As if that was not enough, Goliath did not see any conventional weapon of war on David. So he asked, "Am I a dog?" The first lesson we have to learn from this story as...More

Who am Ithat you have brought me this far?' 2 Samuel 7:18 (NIV 2011 Edition)

Forgive And Move On (2)

Anyone who starts ploughing and keeps looking back isn't worth a thing to God's Kingdom!' Luke 9:62 CEV

If you're wise, you'll do four things:

(1) Focus on the road ahead. By looking in the rear-view mirror instead of what's up ahead, you'll end up in a ditch. Focus on the fact you've...More
