The work of the Lord Jesus was always carried out to perfection. This vast multitude, which may well have exceeded ten thousand, was nourished and satisfied, yet they hadn't exhausted the supply! A huge quantity, enough to fill twelve baskets, remained over. Nothing was to be wasted; so the Lord made the disciples gather up what was left over (cf. .
