The right one to serve God in prison (1)
I was troubled by the problems confronting my compatriots who were suffering greatly under a totalitarian government. Preachers were being executed, Christians cast into prison and Bibles burnt.

I decided to visit Christians living in isolated districts to encourage them and bring them new Bibles. I had to travel by car and in a convoy to enter one such place, it being too dangerous to go alone. The convoy was halted by a road control. Some armed soldiers arrested me and confiscated everything: my car, my personal effects, my money and all my Bibles. Then they made me board a military vehicle and took me to prison.

The first question I asked God was: "But, Lord, why me? I want to serve you, but how can I in prison?" Then I remembered a meeting I had had in that district with other preachers. They were worried about the number of persons in prison. We had decided to pray and ask God to fill someone with love for those prisoners and send him to them with the message of salvation. At that moment I did not reckon that I was the person to bring them the gospel. We may ourselves be the answer to our own prayers.
