Jesus Christ is God

Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself.

1 John 5:20; 2 Corinthians 5:19.

Jesus Christ is God
Jesus Christ is not a "superman", the greatest philosopher, the wisest of men, the most revered of the founders of religions - He is God, but He took a body like ours. For human beings this is a unique, incomprehensible fact. He was born, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit. That is why it is a serious matter to refuse Jesus Christ: it means refusing God. However, believing in Him is the door to a relationship with God.

When Jesus was on earth among men, His miracles testified to His deity, giving people healing and life. His sayings surprised all His listeners through their wisdom and truth.

No-one could make Him do wrong: He was a perfect Man. "In him there is no sin" (1 John 3:5); He "knew no sin" (2 Corinthians 5:21), He did no sin (1 Peter 2:22). He is God who became Man.

His deportment, full of love, grace, righteousness, truth, patience and goodness revealed what God's thoughts were regarding mankind. Being raised from the dead by God His Father demonstrated His deity.

When we recognise the greatness of Jesus Christ, we cannot but submit to Him. And when we discover, additionally, that He became Man out of love towards us in order to reconcile us with God and release us from our moral misery, giving us life and peace, we do more than submit to Him, we love Him and adore Him!

Today's reading: Genesis 25:19-34 · Psalms 10:1-11

BROKENNESS

In your relationship with God, one place you need to get to is the place of brokenness. To be broken is to have some form of injury that makes the object less than a whole. In spiritual parlance, it is to break or subdue the flesh in order to be more profitable to the kingdom of God. Why do you need to be broken?...More

DELIVERANCE: DIVINE ASSURANCE

When God speaks, that settles it. He reigns forever. When He gives a decree, it is forever. When He says "surely", it means surely. When He says surely, it will be well with me, nobody can change it. He says surely, by His stripes I am healed, and nobody can change this. He says surely, everything I do shall...More
