Today's reading: Psalm 78:26-54

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:16

"I suppose you are one of those religious fanatics who cannot leave their fellowmen in peace with their incessant preaching", a young man once said to an evangelist. He used to travel from place to place preaching the good news of Jesus Christ so that people would turn to God, be converted and through faith in Christ be reconciled to God.
"You can call me whatever you like," the itinerant preacher replied. "When I was in this district many years ago, I saw how three men who were working in a quarry were suddenly buried alive under a mass of stones that had detached themselves and rolled down. I shouted as loudly as I could and with the help of a few men, we were successful in rescuing at least two of the trapped men."
"At the time, people praised me. No one dreamt of calling me a fanatic. So how can I possibly keep silent today when I see all round me countless people who I know are on the way to eternal condemnation.?"
"No, my friend, I am not a fanatic. We are ambassadors for Christ. We are pleading with people on behalf of Christ to be reconciled with God. It is a commission we have from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and which we must fulfil."

Glorious gospel, wonderful message!
It is worth listening to:
Jesus, the Saviour, is calling,
"Lost one, I died to save you!"

THE GREAT DELIVERER

God is great but He humbles Himself to the level of His children to deliver them. The one who will deliver you must be stronger than the enemy holding you captive. The reason He is able to deliver is because He is stronger than all your enemies put together. This is why in

NO FOOD FOR THE LAZY MAN

Laziness is not a Christian virtue in any way. Our Lord Jesus Christ made this clear by His lifestyle of hard work while here on earth. A lifestyle of laziness is outrightly rejected in Scriptures typified by today's Bible reading. It is amazing that some people are still expecting God to rain manna on earth! It does...More
