The language of nature

Since the creation of the world his invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead.
Romans 1:20.

The language of nature
God is the Author of two great books that He has placed at the disposal of mankind: the Bible and nature. Through his intelligence man should be able to discern and recognise the eternal power and deity of the One who is the origin of everything and therefore its Creator.

It is, however, only "by faith" that we understand that the worlds were formed by the word of God, so that whatever is seen was not "made of things which are visible" (Hebrews 11:39).

A simple walk in the country will provide a thousand opportunities to marvel at the ingenuity of the Creator: a flower in the fields, the shape of its leaf, the insect resting on it. Everything from the infinitely great to the infinitely small speaks of the creative power and the wisdom of our God. Believers capable of understanding recent scientific discoveries are impressed by the complexity and precision of divine creation. Nature also shows us that God's wish is for the good of His creature whom He loves.

Every inventor has rights over what he has produced, and the Creator has them over man, though the latter frequently fails to admit it.

Refusing to heed the Creator leads to the worst disasters in morals and health (cf. Romans 1:24-32). The state of widespread pollution from which the planet is suffering more and more is thus the consequence of this contempt of God.

Let us not be influenced by changing theories developed by the world in order to destroy the very idea of a Creator.

Today's reading: Zechariah 6:1-15 · Mark 13:14-27

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
(Galatians 6:1-2)
