An Attitude Adjustment (3)

‘Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.' Proverbs 3:6 NLT

When it comes to having the right attitude—stay in touch with the control tower. Air traffic controllers ‘see the big picture' when it comes to what's going on in the sky. They have the knowledge and authority to tell pilots to slow down or speed up, fly higher or lower, avoid or navigate through storms, or take alternative routes. Amazingly, air traffic controllers in the Australia handle over 3.2 million flights each year—an average of around 8,900 every day. In fact, they regularly manage more than the busiest day on record in Britain (5 July 2019) which clocked 8,863 flights! They manage commercial flights, private aviation, military, and cargo air traffic, as well as air taxis and airport vehicles.

With so many flights taking off and landing every minute, pilots have to stay in touch with the control tower. Similarly, you must stay in touch with God—the One who sees the big picture for your life and orchestrates everything that involves you. He makes sure everything that needs to happen actually does happen at the right time, and also moves at the appropriate speed to make sure you arrive safely at the destination He's planned for you.

That's why staying in communication with God should be at the top of your daily to-do list. He will help you navigate the ups and downs of life, and find your way through cloudy days when you can't see the next step you need to take. In short, when you ‘seek His will in all you do He will show you which path to take.'

The only true attitude for the Christian is that of dependence...

I am come from heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him that has sent Me.
(John 6:38)

The only true attitude for the Christian is that of dependence. The moment we get off the ground of dependence on God we are sure to come to grief. This is true both individually...More

Are You Feeling Insecure? (3)

The Lordsaid to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth." '
Jeremiah 1:9 NIV

The people God calls usually start out feeling ill-equipped and insecure. Indeed, if you jumped and said, No problem, Lord, I can handle that,' He wouldn't call you at all. You say, but I've made so many...More

CO-PILOT USED SKY DEVIL' LOG IN

Be reminded that evidence from the cockpit voice recorder suggests that Mr. Andreas Lubitz, 27, the killer co-pilot of GERMAN WINGS FLIGHT 9525 locked the cock pit door when Capt Patrick Sondenheimer, 34, also of Dusseldorf city, left for a toilet break and used controls to override the entry code, crashing the plane...More
