Confession Is Good For The Soul

‘If we confess our sins, He will forgive our sins.' 1 John 1:9 NCV

Sunday school teacher Ranai Carlton writes: ‘I was trying to teach the children that we all need God's forgiveness. So, I asked one of the girls, "Lisa, when is a time you might need God's forgiveness?" Her blank stare prompted a response from my son, "It's ok, Lisa. You don't have to tell her." Then he turned to me and said, "We don't have to tell you our problems. This isn't the Oprah Winfrey Show."' It's true you don't have to tell others your sins, but you do have to tell God. David said, ‘When I kept silent about my sin Your hand was heavy upon me.' ( NASB)

(3) It lets you move on. Confession lets you start again. It's important to draw a line between the past and the future in case you're tempted to regress.

(4) It lets you grow. Thomas Edison is said to have remarked failure taught him 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb. Making failure work for you instead of against you starts with confession and accepting God's forgiveness.

CAN SATAN RIGHTLY ACCUSE YOU?

Besides discouragement, another weapon Satan uses often against believers is their weaknesses. He simply studies an individual for a period of time and not long after, he identifies the fellow's weakness and capitalizes on it. Take for instance Peter. Satan discovered that Peter is a cowardly person-lacking in...More

SPIRITUAL WARFARE I

When we are told to put on the whole armour of God, one thing becomes clear instantly. This is the fact that there is a God. We cannot be talking of the armour of God if there is no God. Anyone who thinks that there is no God is a fool (Psalm 14:1). You have to pray that God would reveal Himself to you. The...More

SATAN INTIMIDATES

When Goliath came to the battlefield, he took the form of a big problem but he later became a big opportunity. He came as a mighty obstacle but turned into a mighty door of opportunity when God stepped in. Every giant who stands in your way this season shall become a door to your breakthrough in Jesus' Name. The...More
