Church Goes Viral for ‘Loud Kid Policy’: ‘If Your Child Makes Noise … You Are Blessing Us’

A pair of churches in Mississippi and Pennsylvania have gone viral for a humorous “policy change” declaring that loud children are not only tolerated in their congregations – they are welcomed with open arms.

The Facebook post by Mt. Washington United Brethren in York, Pa., was intended as a lighthearted message for its members but soon gained viral status on social media as individuals copied the letter and pasted it on their accounts, applauding the church’s family-friendly stance. Across all platforms, it has received...more

Despite ongoing conflict, the persecuted church in Iran is experiencing significant growth, leading to an urgent need for Bibles and religious materials as Christians bravely seek truth amidst oppression.

Persecuted Church in Iran Needs More Bibles, Other Support

As the war in Iran continues to rage, the persecuted church is growing! And so is the need for Bibles and other teaching materials. It’s estimated that there are between 1 and 2 million Christians in Iran who are a part of the persecuted church. With Islam being the dominant religion, Christianity and evangelism have been outlawed, but both pastors and laymen are carefully calling out for the need to have Bibles in the Iran’s Persian language, according to The Christian Newswire.

Christian Ministry Calls on Churches to Remember Developing Communities on World Water Day

Water is something that is definitely taken for granted by most people in developed countries. We don’t realize the blessing of being able to turn on a faucet and receive clean water right in our homes. However, about a quarter of the population around the world, 2.1 billion, don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water, according to the World Health Organization.

In the United States, when a natural disaster strikes and a community of people doesn’t have access to clean drinking water, that community is considered to be in a state of emergency. In fact, the U.S. Government has released a...more

Artemis II’s Victor Glover Cites Christ’s Words on Love During Historic Moon Flyby

The pilot of the historic Artemis II moon mission pointed those on Earth to Christ’s two greatest commands Monday, moments before the space capsule was set to slip behind the moon and lose communication in one of the defining challenges of deep-space travel.

Pilot Victor Glover cited Christ’s words on a milestone day for him and his three fellow astronauts – moments after breaking the record for the farthest distance from Earth for any human and just as the Orion capsule was nearing its closest approach to the moon.

A North Carolina church is mourning the tragic death of one of its ministers, who was shot and killed early Monday morning, allegedly by her husband.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says Tammy McCollum, 58, was shot during an argument shortly after midnight Monday by Eddie McCollum, 61, who was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He remains in jail, with his bond set at $1 million, WBTV reported.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, hours after the church held its annual Easter service.

Hallowell approached his latest documentary on angels and demons with that same posture, digging into each claim with a healthy dose of skepticism while remaining open to wherever the evidence leads. The result is a new CBN...more

Johnny Hart Pointed People to Christ in the Funny Papers

On Holy Saturday 2007, cartoonist Johnny Hart died of a stroke while working at his drawing table. Hart was the award-winning creator of the popular comic strips “The Wizard of Id” and “B.C.” which, at one time, reached 100 million readers worldwide every day. In a 1999 BreakPoint commentary, Chuck Colson identified Hart as “the most widely read Christian of our time,” with “more readers than C.S. Lewis, Frank Peretti, and Billy Graham combined.”

Raised in a moderately religious home, Hart’s faith became more serious around 1984 when a born-again father-son team installed a satellite dish in his home. Not long after that, his Christianity became evident in his comic strips. According to Hart, “It started out like when Christmas would roll around—if a holiday comes up, I do something...more

How HRC’s Corporate “Equality” Index Harms Children

How HRC’s Corporate Equality Index Harms Children

One of the most effective tools to shape culture in recent years has been the Corporate Equality Index from the Human Rights Campaign. Today on Breakpoint, Katy Faust of Them Before Us explains:

You may be surprised to learn that when you picked up that matte red lipstick at Ulta, you were helping fund cross-sex hormones for gender-confused kids. Or that when you ordered that chicken al pastor with extra guac at Chipotle, you were subsidizing IVF and surrogacy, which is intentionally creating children who will be separated from their mother or father.

That may sound extreme, but according to a new report published by my non-profit Them Before Us, there’s often a pipeline between our daily purchases and child harm. This harm is thanks to The Human Rights Campaign’s...more

Fifty Years Ago

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, a stark spiritual and societal transformation has occurred since the Bicentennial in 1976, marked by declining religious belief and increasing diversity.

Fifty Years Ago

In July, America will celebrate its 250th anniversary.

I distinctly remember our last national milestone, the Bicentennial celebration of turning 200 in 1976. I was 14 years old, getting ready to enter my freshman year of high school. It was a big deal, and the levels of national pride and celebration were palpable.

It doesn’t quite feel the same this time around.

Not just because of our deep divisions over ideology and politics. Not just because of culture wars. Not just because of rising oil prices or the war with Iran.

It’s because it’s just a very different America spiritually.

Just Google...more

An Unusual Case for the Resurrection

An Unusual Case for the Resurrection

Is the Resurrection really a matter of blind belief, or can we know what happened that first Easter Sunday? According to Biola professor and theologian Thaddeus Williams, yes, we can. It all involves four facts from seven non-Christian scholars and six Hollywood movies. Here is Thaddeus Williams:

First, the facts.

Fact one—Jesus died by crucifixion. Outspoken critic of Christianity Bart Ehrman argued, “Since no one would have made up the idea of a crucified messiah, Jesus . . . must really have been crucified.” Gerd Ludemann called it “indisputable,” while Pinchas Lapine considered it “historically certain.”

Fact two—The disciples had experiences from which they concluded that Jesus rose bodily from the dead. Again, Bart Ehrman declared “We can say with complete certainty that some of...more

Did the Pentagon Pressure the Vatican? Allegations Fuel Global Debate

Allegations that Pentagon officials pressured the Vatican to support U.S. military policy have sparked denials from the Trump administration and fueled online debate over religion, politics, and the lessons of world history.

The Free Press reported this week that tensions between Washington and the Vatican had been building for months, beginning when Pope Leo XIV spoke out against military action and culminating in a tense January meeting at the Pentagon. During that meeting, according to The Free Press, senior U.S. defense officials...more

Matt Chandler Sees Massive Movement of God in U.S., Driven by the ‘Death of Secularism’

Matt Chandler is the pastor of The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas, a Dallas-area congregation that has appeared on Outreach Magazine’s lists of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing churches and has helped launch multiple congregations across its region that now operate independently.

Artemis, the Greatness of God, and Human Exceptionalism

Artemis, the Greatness of God, and Human Exceptionalism

Early this week, three Americans and one Canadian traveled further from home than anyone else in human history. At a maximum distance of over 252,000 miles, the Artemis mission broke the record previously set by the doomed Apollo 13 mission in 1970.

Prior to a space launch like this, most of the discussion has to do with engineering. Will we be able to pull it off? What kind of precision is required? However, in space, the conversation shifts from human capacity to awe.

Asked to reflect on it all, Artemis astronaut Victor Glover saw not the vast emptiness of space but the wonder of our place in it, and what that must imply. Prompted for an impromptu Easter sermon, Glover said:

I’m trying to tell you, just trust me, you are special. In all of this emptiness, this is a whole...more

Supreme Court Rules Against Colorado Conversion Therapy Ban, Citing Free Speech Protections

The Supreme Court recently ruled against a law banning “conversion therapy” in Colorado. The 8-1 majority sided with a Christian counselor who argued that the law banning talk therapy violates the First Amendment.

The case, Chiles v. Salazar, had to do with a Colorado law that prohibited counselors from offering therapy to minors that would discourage elements of their sexual identity and orientation. Instead of “conversion therapy,” they could only offer “acceptance, support, and understanding.”

A Christian counselor, Kaley Chiles, argued that the law burdened her First...more

Morality by What Standard?

Morality by What Standard?

The prophet Isaiah warned, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” A modern example, as Dr. Al Mohler recently described on The Briefing, is the “moral incoherence” of believing life is sacred and valuable while also rejecting any consequences for those who take it.

Recently, the state of Georgia charged a woman with the murder of her 22- to 24-week-old baby, who died within an hour of birth after her mother took abortion pills at home to terminate the pregnancy. This is the first murder charge in the state related to its six-week abortion ban. The Washington Post article that covered this story concluded by citing a 2022 Economist/YouGov poll. According to the poll, 19% of respondents think a woman who has an abortion that violates state law should be charged with murder, while 54% think she...more

Astronaut Victor Glover, Back Home, Is Still Pointing People to Christ’s Love

Victor Glover may be back on Earth after a historic journey to the moon, but he’s not finished talking about the God who gave him the opportunity to get there.

Glover and the Artemis II crew returned to Earth Friday after a roughly 10-day mission, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean following a flight that sent them around the moon and tested NASA’s Orion spacecraft and Artemis system in the first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years.

The mission set records for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth and marked the first time astronauts had ventured that close to the moon since the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. It also set the stage for a future crewed lunar landing – just as Apollo 8 did in 1968.

Retired NASA astronaut Barry "Butch" Wilmore, who endured a dramatic 286-day mission aboard the Boeing Starliner, shares how his extensive space experiences have deepened his faith and how manned exploration ultimately glorifies God.

Space Exploration Glorifies God Says Longtime NASA Astronaut Butch Wilmore

A retired NASA astronaut who has flown to space three times – and whose unexpected 286-day mission made worldwide headlines – says manned space exploration flows from humanity’s desire to discover and is a pursuit that ultimately points back to God.

Barry “Butch” Wilmore is a veteran NASA astronaut and former U.S. Navy test pilot who first flew aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis in 2009 to the International Space Station, and later returned to the station in 2014 as part of Soyuz TMA-14M.

Hero Principal Tackles Gunman and Prevents Mass Shooting – Credits ‘God’s Hand’

An Oklahoma high school principal is being hailed as a hero after tackling a gunman who entered the campus and, authorities say, was intent on carrying out a mass shooting.

The principal, for his part, is pointing beyond his own actions and crediting divine intervention.

The frightening incident unfolded on April 7 and is receiving renewed coverage a week later thanks to security footage showing a former student walking into Pauls Valley (Okla.) High School and pointing a gun at other students before Kirk Moore – the school’s principal – sprints into the...more

Understanding Our Temptations

Explore the profound temptations Jesus faced in the wilderness, revealing how understanding these ancient struggles can illuminate our own modern-day vulnerabilities.

Understanding Our Temptations

The Bible tells us that Jesus was tempted in every way and, from that, He can understand our weakness. But do we understand the nature of those temptations that Jesus faced and, from them, understand our own weakness?

The clearest portrait of the temptations Jesus faced can be seen in the wilderness, where He faced four – yes, four – direct seductions.

Stones to Bread
First, Jesus was tempted to turn stones into bread. For Jesus, this was the temptation to use His supernatural power for His own personal needs. To be motivated by selfish desire.

In other words, the temptation is related to motives.

Why...more

God and the Big Bang

God and the Big Bang

The idea of the Big Bang was first put forward by Dr. Edwin Hubble, the man after whom we named the Hubble telescope.

His theory was that, at one time, all matter was packed into a dense mass at temperatures of many trillions of degrees. Then, about 13.8 billion years ago, there was a huge explosion. From that explosion, all the matter that today forms our planets and stars was born, and the universe was created.

Hubble’s idea was confirmed through what was then called the discovery of the century. On April 24, 1992, the Cosmic Background Explorer satellite, better known as COBE, gave stunning confirmation of the hot Big Bang creation event.

In many ways, it really was the birth of modern cosmology.

Now, we already knew that something cannot come from nothing.

We also now know that the universe isn’t...more

Aliens, UFO’s, and the Demonic: Thinking Like Christians About the Weird Stuff

Aliens, UFO’s, and the Demonic: Thinking Like Christians About the Weird Stuff

Recently, Vice President J.D. Vance admitted that he is “obsessed” with UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors. He then suggested that what are often identified as aliens could be masquerading demons. As Vance put it, “I think one of the devil’s great tricks is to convince people he never existed.”

Vice-President Vance is in a growing company of those, including many Christians, who are fascinated with aliens. And especially for Christians, right thinking about ET begins with getting our worldview right on the existence of the natural and supernatural.

In fact, the rise of vague spiritualities not firmly rooted in Christian doctrine has fostered many modern beliefs about aliens. Decades ago, C.S. Lewis rightly stated why we often prefer vague spirituality over encountering the real...more

Super Bowl Champion Cooper Kupp Says Football Is a Platform to Share Jesus

An NFL wide receiver who helped the Seattle Seahawks capture their second Super Bowl title earlier this year says he views football as a platform for sharing God’s Word.

Cooper Kupp is a nine-year NFL veteran who signed with the Seattle Seahawks prior to the 2025 season, finished second on the team in receiving, and then led Seattle with six catches for 61 yards in its 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.

Tennessee Declares June as ‘Nuclear Family Month’ – Not LGBT Pride Month

The Tennessee legislature and governor have approved a countercultural resolution declaring June as Nuclear Family Month and affirming marriage as the union of a husband and wife during a month when much of society will be celebrating LGBT Pride.

Gov. Bill Lee signed the resolution last week, days after it sailed through the state House and Senate on votes of 72-14 and 26-4, respectively.

It states that the “nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God's design for familial...more

Candace Cameron Bure Says Standing on Scripture Cost Her – But Obeying God Was Worth It

Candace Cameron Bure said during the opening service of this week’s America Reads the Bible event that standing on God’s Word has come at a cost in both opportunities and relationships – but that she would choose the same path again and continue standing firm on Scripture.

O Sister, Where Art Thou?

A striking new survey reveals that women, particularly young women of color, are increasingly leaving religious institutions, challenging notions of a religious revival and highlighting a significant "religion gender gap."

O Sister, Where Art Thou?

A significant survey came out this week from the Washington, D.C.-based Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI). The big reveal was that women are leaving the church.

The survey first noted how most demographic patterns are holding—e.g., the percentage of Americans identifying with Christianity remains around 40%, and the percentage of the religiously unaffiliated remains around 28%. And younger Americans continue to be less religious than older Americans in terms of both religious affiliation and regular church attendance.

Randall Christopher Niles has been leveraging information technology to share the Gospel, proclaim truth, and counter lies for a few decades now. Through GotQuestions and AllAboutGod, he has used the internet as a tool to point people to Christ. Recently, he tackled the question of AI. How he described its perils and promises is something every Christian needs to hear. Here’s Randall:

Every generation is shaped by its tools. The Industrial Revolution replaced muscle with machines and reshaped labor, cities, families, and time itself. Steam engines led to factories. Factories led to mass production. Mass production led to modern economies. Then came radio—the first technology to speak to millions at once. For the first time in history, a single voice could enter every living room, shape public...more

After a long, hard journey, NASA astronaut and Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman broke down in tears after returning from his mission. Though “not a religious man,” the astronaut felt such emotion after his victory that he requested to speak with a Navy chaplain.

According to the Christian Post, on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, Wiseman and many other NASA astronauts who returned from this mission spoke at a press conference at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Poll Shows UK Christians Feel a Sense of Cultural Pressure In Their Beliefs

While a vast majority of UK Evangelicals feel legally free to practice their faith, nearly half report increasing difficulty in publicly expressing their beliefs due to cultural shifts and social sensitivities.

According to a study titled "Confident Faith, Contested Culture," 884 respondents in the U.K. gave their opinion on practicing their faith without restriction (Evangelical Alliance). While most say they can presently and largely practice their beliefs without legal barriers, many are concerned that a cultural shift is coming.

In addition to the 884 U.K. Evangelical Christians surveyed, an additional 1,500 respondents were polled. While Christians do continue to read their Bible, pray, and openly discuss or share their faith, the report revealed that an...more

Taking a Life to Save an Organ

Taking a Life to Save an Organ

On March 26, 25-year-old Noelia Castillo Ramos was put to death by the Spanish government. She had not committed any crime. In fact, she was the victim of a horrendous one.

In 2022, Ramos was sexually assaulted by a group of men, which compounded her existing mental struggles and led to at least two suicide attempts. One of the attempts left her with permanent injury and constant pain. Eventually, she appealed to die by euthanasia, which had been legalized in Spain in 2021.

For two years, her parents tried to save her with the help of a Christian law group. In the end, the government and medical authorities determined her life was not worth living. One of her friends was even prevented from saying goodbye to Ramos out of fear that she’d convince her to change her mind and want to live.

Authorities had reason to fear...more

Moon Joy: How the Artemis II Journey Around the Moon Encouraged the World

From lift-off to splash-down, the 10-day mission of Artemis II around the moon and back captivated and encouraged the world. A single hashtag captured the global sentiment: #moonjoy.

And it flowed from the astronauts themselves. As Ashley Hales wrote for Christianity Today, “From doing group hugs and working while a floating jar of Nutella stole the spotlight to wearing eclipse sunglasses like ’80s kids and recreating the Full House TV show intro, the four astronauts were full of joy.”

She writes:

How Christian Is Your Worldview?

How Christian Is Your Worldview?

A few weeks ago, a man who should remain unnamed but claims to be a Christian, called The Hiding Place “[o]ne of the most subversive books around.” In his framing, Corrie ten Boom, who hid Jews during World War II, was a villain who cooperated with Communists and who was guilty of “shielding Christ’s enemies.” He is a recent example of what are growing fringes on both the Left and the Right, who claim the mantle of Christianity while preaching a false and misleading “gospel.”

Each side is quick to call out the other when they are guilty of misrepresenting Christianity, and there are plenty of examples. From the Left come politicians such as James Talarico and “Christian” clergy offering blessings for abortion clinics. In a 2023 book, The Godless Crusade, Tobias Cremer described...more

Trans Skeletons and Just So Stories

According to The Daily Mail, some “scientists” may have found evidence of “the first non–binary person.”

Studies of 125 skeletons across several cemeteries in?Hungary?have found that while the majority of people were buried according to their gender, some defied the norm.

Since people who lived 1000 years before Abraham didn’t post their pronouns on social media, we’ll just have to trust the “research article” that was published in the American Journal of Biological Anthropology under the title “Fixed and Fluid: The Two Faces of Gender Roles—A Combined Study of Activity Patterns and Burial Practices in the European...more

Shroud of Turin Study Uncovers Crop and Livestock Traces, but Mystery Remains

Egypt Placed on 'Special Watch List' for Persecuting Christians

Incidents of Christian persecution in Egypt are either unaddressed or increasing, depending on which Egyptian community is being referenced. It’s Time for the Church to Saddle Up

Recent reports show a slight increase in church attendance, but is this true growth or simply a plateau after decline?

It’s Time for the Church to Saddle Up

There are usually three ways to talk about the state of a church: growing, plateaued, or in decline.

Researchers from the Hartford Institute for Religion Research have found that the median congregation grew from 65 in 2020 to about 70 today. Headline from various news organizations? “Worship attendance at church up for first time in decades.”

Yes, but....

That doesn’t seem like a growing situation as much as one that ended in decline and has stabilized into something of a plateau. I’m not trying to be curmudgeonly about it; it’s just that a six-year change of an average of five people isn’t exactly a growth spurt. It...more

Put Your Faith in Gods Sovereignty Not Worldly Leaders

A Moment of Cultural Alarm
I flew back into Dallas, Texas, this week from Africa—and what I heard in American Christian spaces troubled me more than the very culture we’ve been warning about.

It was just a few years ago that conservative Christians were sounding the alarm over what felt like a disturbing cultural drift. We spoke—and often complained—about our children being indoctrinated, confusion around gender identity, boys competing in girls’ sports, and young girls being forced to share locker rooms. We pointed to monuments like the White House being lit in bright...more

Neither Optimism nor Despair: Why Hope Is Better

Neither Optimism nor Despair: Why Hope Is Better

In an old bit titled “Everything is Amazing and Nobody is Happy,” Comedian Louis C.K. mocked how crabby people can be today, despite living in an age so much better and easier than any other time in human history. Despite incredible technological innovations, like smart phones and airplanes, we still find ways to be upset.

Similarly, National Review senior editor Charles C.W. Cooke recently wrote about the lack of optimism in contemporary America, even amidst great advancements. In his essay, “Against Misery,” Cooke, a self-identified atheist, claimed Americans have reason to be optimistic and to push back against the doldrums of contemporary despair,

Per Gallup, 81% of Americans are either ‘very’ or ‘somewhat’ satisfied with their lives, while just 20% are either ‘very’ or...more

Do Muslims Love Jesus?

Do Muslims Love Jesus?

In an X post on April 14, Tucker Carlson declared:

The people in charge don’t want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist.

This claim is often made by Muslim apologists. After all, Jesus features prominently in the Koran. However, the Jesus described in the Koran and affirmed by Muslims is not the same Jesus who is proclaimed in the Gospels.

According to Islam, Jesus was a miracle-working prophet, who was the son of a virgin and whose “Second Coming” will usher in the Apocalypse. Some further claim that Jesus, or Isa as they call Him, was a Muslim. Of course, Islam came some 600 years after Christ, but Muslims believe that Jesus followed the true,...more
