6,000 N.C. State Students Gather to Worship Jesus: ‘All Glory to God’

Thousands of Gen Z students are flocking to UniteUS worship events, with a recent N.C. State gathering drawing 6,000 attendees and witnessing numerous professions of faith and baptisms.

6,000 N.C. State Students Gather to Worship Jesus: ‘All Glory to God’

On a night when countless other activities competed for attention, some 6,000 students from North Carolina State packed an arena near the campus Tuesday to lift up the name of Jesus.

The worship service in Raleigh, N.C., was the latest stop on the UniteUS tour, which began humbly in 2023 but has grown rapidly as revival has spread among Gen Z. This fall alone, more than 40,000 college students have participated in UniteUS events – including 5,500 at the University of Cincinnati, 7,000 at Grand Canyon University, 8,000 at the University of Tennessee, 7,000 at the University of South Florida, and 9,000 who gathered at the University of Oklahoma.

Hundreds of N.C. State students on Tuesday made professions of faith, according to CBN. Dozens were baptized.

“What a night at NC State!! We continue to see new miraculous moves of God on each college campus,” UniteUS founder Tonya Prewett wrote on Instagram.

“All glory to God!”

A video accompanying Prewett’s post proclaimed: “This is revival.”

Tuesday’s stop included musical worship – Elevation Worship led on Tuesday – along with prayer and a gospel message.

Prewett told K-Love that a massive prayer network is helping drive the UniteUs movement.

“Prayer can change a nation, it can shift a nation, and God's not done. Greater things are coming,” said Prewett, the author of the new book Roses to Revival. “The prayer network that's going on behind the scenes that nobody knows about is just unbelievable. And so you see what's happening on college campuses, [but] what you don't see is the 1 million people behind the scenes praying every day for this to continue.”

Additionally, an on-the-ground team ensures each event runs smoothly.

“They’ll give up weekends, skip work, and pay for their own flights just to be part of what God’s doing,” Prewett said. “Their hearts are on fire.”

Each event is marked by powerful stories that reveal the transforming power of the gospel. Prewett recounted one such story involving the April UniteUs event at Baylor.

“A student was sitting in the common area and saw this crowd of people walking somewhere,” she told K-Love. “He didn’t know where they were going, but he decided to follow. He ended up walking into our event. That night, he went from being an atheist to a believer – gave his life to Jesus and was baptized. He walked out of that arena a completely changed person.”

The next stop on the UniteUS tour is Clemson University on Nov. 18.
