NFL star TreVeyon Henderson recently shared a powerful message of faith, redirecting focus from worldly success to eternal peace through Jesus.



One of the NFL’s top running backs ended 2025 by pointing fans beyond the world’s fleeting promises to the eternal peace of Jesus.

TreVeyon Henderson shared a message of faith on Dec. 30, posting a well-known Bible verse alongside images of himself on the gridiron – a subtle reminder that what people often chase, money and fame, does not bring true joy.

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?’ Matthew 16:24-26,” Henderson wrote, without commentary.

Henderson has emerged as one of the NFL’s top rookies, helping lead the Patriots to a 13–3 record and a playoff berth just one year after a 4–13 season. A leading Rookie of the Year candidate, he has more than 1,000 all-purpose yards and eight touchdowns.

He’s also one of the league’s most outspoken Christians. During this season’s My Cause, My Cleats campaign, he partnered with Global Christian Relief, a nonprofit that supports persecuted Christians around the world.

“When you read the Bible and you look at what Jesus teaches us and what He warns us – just about the persecution that we will face for following Him – you don't see too much of that [and] I know that there's a lot of it going on, but there's not much awareness about it,” Henderson said in a video recorded for Global Christian Relief.

“It really just opened my eyes, because – the things that Christ was warning us about, you know, I started to realize that that is still happening today.”

The Patriots selected Henderson in the second round out of Ohio State, where he was a key contributor to the Buckeyes’ 2024 national championship run.
