Baltimore Ravens superstar Lamar Jackson is heading into the 2026 season making headlines not just for his MVP-level talent, but for his increasingly prominent and public Christian faith.




The star quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens is entering the 2026 season with faith at the forefront, repeatedly sharing messages about the love of Jesus on social media.

Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson is a two-time AP NFL MVP and four-time Pro Bowler who is entering his ninth NFL season after winning the Heisman Trophy at the University of Louisville. The Ravens have reached the playoffs in six of his eight seasons.

A standout on the field, Jackson is also bold in his faith.

“Jesus is the key,” Jackson wrote July 30 on X/Twitter while applauding a Ravens fan for getting baptized.

Several days earlier, Jackson re-tweeted a viral, playful post about science and faith.

“Science says we need 4 basic elements to survive: Food, Water, Air, Light Now here's what Jesus says: I am the Bread of life, I am the living Water, I am the Breath of life, I am the Light of the world. Science is right. We all need Jesus,” the post said.

In May, Jackson re-tweeted a lengthy post highlighting how Jesus is revealed in every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.

In fact, out of Jackson’s 30 posts on X/Twitter this summer, 25 have referenced his Christian faith, spotlighting everything from prayers to Bible verses to sermon clips.

Jackson has been outspoken on Instagram, too, sharing a message on his story recently that read, “If it’s not from Jesus Christ I don’t want it. Im not bending my faith it’s not worth it,” according to Relevant.

In 2024, after he became the first NFL player in history to record four perfect passer ratings, he credited his coaches and teammates before turning the conversation to faith.

“And God. God, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that’s why we’re having so much success,” he said. “That’s the One that’s leading us throughout these games, week in and week out.”

Last year, he told GQ that his dependence on God extends far beyond the football field.

“I can’t live without the Bible, can’t live without God,” he said. “He’s the one who wake me up each and every day. He’s the one who has me performing in my profession.”
