“The Lord Has Need of It”

It came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’”
Luke 19:29–31 NKJV

“The Lord Has Need of It”
We tend to be much occupied with our needs. We love to think of the Lord Jesus who met the needs of crowds and individuals, young and old, and of those from every class of society; and it is good to know Him in this way. But how about His own needs? On several occasions He was pleased to use others to supply for His own needs:

• He used the owner of a colt to supply the means of transport He required.

• He requested the use of Peter’s boat to address the multitudes from the lake.

• Being tired by the well in Samaria, He asked a woman for water—though this was mainly to speak to her about the water He could give.

• He was pleased to use a young boy’s two fishes and five loaves, with much blessing.

• He accepted the pound of ointment of spikenard which Mary poured out. Though some were unhappy about such allocation of resources, the Lord defended her cause. It was no waste; it had been done for Him: “Let her alone,” He said.

• Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds, for the burial of the Lord.

• And Joseph of Arimathea supplied a grave for the Lord’s body.

The Lord is no doubt almighty and powerful, and yet He is pleased to use His people in His work. He would like to use you. Have you asked Him how you can serve Him today?

UNCOVERING EVIL

The presence of the supernatural power of God in a church can take that church beyond limits.
It can also uproot the presence of evil in the midst of Gods children. In Acts 5, a couple were uprooted through this. If we are going to sanitise the church, we need the Holy Spirit. Just as we need Him to heal, save...More

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; ...More

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)

In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, but has manifested in its own due season His word.
(Titus 1:2-3)

THE NON-LYING GOD (2)
I can lie. Titus could too, and so could the Cretans. But God can not lie. I can deceive. But...More
