Lessons on Abijah (3)â€”God Delivers Those Who Call to Him

When Judah looked around, to their surprise the battle line was at both front and rear; and they cried out to the Lord, and the priests sounded the trumpets. Then the men of Judah gave a shout; and as the men of Judah shouted, it happened that God struck Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

Lessons on Abijah (3)â€”God Delivers Those Who Call to Him
It is interesting to see how Abijah and Judah were saved in the war against Jeroboam. Before the belligerents entered into action, Abijah was bragging about how well they served God and how God had given the kingdom of Israel to the house of David. But they now found themselves in a miserable position and cried out to the Lord when they realized the battle was before and behind them. They had boasted greatly, but now found themselves surrounded in the battle!

Yet the Lord delivered them, and we read of three reasons why. First, in . God delivers those who trust in Him!
