Whom God has set forth a mercy-seat, through faith in His blood for the showing forth of His righteousness in the present time, so that He should be just, and justify him that is of the faith of Jesus.

Much rather therefore, having been now justified in the power of His blood, we shall be saved by Him from wrath.

The book of Romans has often been likened to a courtroom scene. All humanity, including you and me, have been brought to be arraigned in God's court and found guilty. , but the blood of Christ is the basis. His shed blood shows that death and judgment have taken place and that all God's claims against us have been met and atoned for. Hallelujah, what a Savior!
